Inspired by John P. Kee’s “I Do Worship” and the “Wakanda Forever” wordmark, this design reminds us to forever worship our worthy God.
The inspiration started with John P. Kee’s “I Do Worship”, one of my all-time favorite worship songs. The lyrics are simple, yet powerful.
I’ve been wanting to do something with it for a while, and when I saw the wordmark for the new Black Panther movie, “Wakanda Forever”, it all just came together.
I was already familiar with the typeface from a previous riff based on the first movie’s wordmark that paid tribute to black parenthood, so it wasn’t that difficult to recreate “Wakanda” as “Worship”.
